Answer Cancer, has teamed up with women’s collective Girl Gang Manchester in a new campaign which aims to increase the take up of NHS cervical screening amongst young women.

Girl Gang Manchester have created a fun and light-hearted video with a serious message: encouraging young women to go for cervical screening. A social media campaign using the hashtag #SpreadtoPledge will help to share the video and messages around cervical screening.

At this online event we will be giving the Girl Gang Manchester Smear Fear video its World Premier broadcast! It will be introduced by one of its stars and creators, Megan Marie Griffith, Artistic Director and Executive Producer at Girl Gang Manchester.

Also at this event, you will get to take part in a cervical screening themed quiz, hosted by writer, funny person & feminist Aileen Barratt (@tindertranslators). Finally, we will hear from Rebecca Shoosmith, Chief Executive at Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust about cervical cancer and the importance of screening.

This will be a fun, interactive and entertaining evening, and we hope you can all join us!

Please note: this is an event intended for adults. Please be advised that some material is tongue in cheek and a little rude in places!
