A conversation with men for men about the Big ‘C’ – and it’s not about Covid!

To mark Men’s Health Awareness Month and Movember, Answer Cancer are hosting an online Men’s Health event on Monday 23rd November at 2pm.

This men only event will focus on exploring the impact of cancer on men and their mental health, and is in partnership with Dean of Manchester, Sangha Connections Manchester and Answer Cancer.

During this event, we will be joined by two men who have been affected by cancer.

Firstly we will hear from Winston Carrington, a retired father and grandfather who is a prostate cancer survivor. Winston has been promoting cancer awareness with families, communities and health professionals, and challenging the way we talk about cancer, with our partners and with GPs. In his own words, he sees himself, as ‘a normal guy who has landed on his feet.’

Also joining us will be David McCallion, a 56 years old who has been diagnosed with a grade 3 Breast Cancer. David will be discussing the challenges, both physical and mental, of being diagnosed with a cancer which is perceived as only affecting women.

This event will take place on Zoom. To join click this link:
