On the 24th June, we held our first online Stakeholder Collaborative.

The purpose of this event was to enable stakeholders to:

• Hear about Answer Cancer’s work and plans for next year;
• Find out updates about the Cancer Screening Programmes in Greater Manchester;
• Listen to good practice about remote and online engagement approaches; and
• Share your own news and ask questions.

We were very pleased to welcome Audrey Howarth, Screening and Immunisation Manager at the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership. Audrey provided an overview of the three NHS cancer screening programmes and was able to provide an update on the measures being taken to ensure that screening services are safe for both patients and the staff delivering them.

The overwhelming message was that screening services are open for business and that whilst they may be operating differently, you should continue to take up invitations or complete home test kits in the usual way. And as ever, if you have any concerns or symptoms, please contact your GP.
